- Facilities and providers housing or working with individuals committed as incompetent to stand trial or not criminally responsible due to mental illness, intellectual disability or developmental disability;
- Law Enforcement Agencies,
- Corrections agencies,
- Parole and probation agencies,
- Judiciary,
- Attorneys, and
- Legislators
OCEP also collects data regarding the various services provided and operates a forensic database [currently under construction] to enable the Office to track cases as they proceed through the forensic mental health system.
Centralized Admissions Office (CAO)
The Centralized Admissions Office was developed in October 2017 and serves as the single point of contact for submission of all court orders. The CAO processes approximately 3500 court orders a year, orders that commit defendants to MDH for evaluation or treatment of a mental health or substance use disorder.
All court orders are received via email at mdh.admissions@maryland.gov or fax at 443-681-1035
