    Google Translate Disclaimer

    The Maryland Department of Information Technology (“DoIT”) offers translations of the content through Google Translate. Because Google Translate is an external website, DoIT does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content. All DoIT content is filtered through Google Translate which may result in unexpected and unpredictable degradation of portions of text, images and the general appearance on translated pages. Google Translate may maintain unique privacy and use policies. These policies are not controlled by DoIT and are not associated with DoIT’s privacy and use policies. After selecting a translation option, users will be notified that they are leaving DoIT’s website. Users should consult the original English content on DoIT’s website if there are any questions about the translated content.

    DoIT uses Google Translate to provide language translations of its content. Google Translate is a free, automated service that relies on data and technology to provide its translations.     GoVAX Mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics serve Harford County residents

    Baltimore, MD – Harford County Executive Barry Glassman and Health Officer Dr. David Bishai today visited the mobile COVID-19 vaccination unit operating in Aberdeen, MD. The unit provides free COVID-19 vaccinations to vulnerable and hard-to-reach residents of the local area through Maryland’s GoVAX Mobile program.

    The Maryland Department of Health (MDH), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), local health departments, and Maryland’s Vaccine Equity Task Force all play a role in managing GoVAX Mobile activities. 

    “Our goal for the GoVAX Mobile program is to increase vaccine access for Marylanders who live in remote and underserved areas,” said MDH Secretary Dennis R. Schrader. “With this program in our arsenal, we now have greater capabilities than ever to deliver vaccines directly to communities that were once hard to access.” 

    The program utilizes specialized vaccination vehicles designed to support clinics of 250 or more doses per day as well as community outreach teams that travel in vans to establish smaller clinics providing 100 or more doses per day. 

    “The mobile vaccination units and outreach teams are great examples of government at all levels working together for our citizens,” said Glassman. “I would like to thank our federal, state and local partners for bringing these lifesaving vaccines to Harford’s most vulnerable residents.”

    At each destination, local health departments work directly with vulnerable and hard-to-reach residents to register them for vaccination appointments. The unit currently located in Aberdeen will conduct daily clinics for approximately six days total before moving to another county.
