Nurse dispensing committee meeting to be held in Columbia next week
Baltimore, MD (August 13, 2015) – Senate Bill 626, a law that went into effect June 1, 2015, established a nurse dispensing committee to develop an official list giving details of prescribed medicines that may be dispensed by Nurses at Local Health Departments, as well as a curriculum to train the nurses who will do the dispensing.
The nurse dispensing committee will meet 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. August 18, 2015, at the Howard County Health Department, Barton B, 8930 Stanford Blvd., Columbia, MD 21045. For information about the meeting, please contact Cybill Hartsell at 410-313-6292.
