OFBCP Overview:

  • Establish rapport with the community, fostering community trust and engaging in mutually beneficial dialogue with the public to participate and support AIDS Administration activities;
  • Increase knowledge, awareness and significance of the impact of HIV/AIDS throughout the state of Maryland and the availability of prevention, treatment and care services;
  • Provide leadership and coordination of faith-based and community development initiatives targeting HIV prevention, care and treatment;
  • Provide education and training opportunities to IDEHA employees that will enhance their individual and collective ability to comprehend and perform assigned tasks to ensure the work of the Administration is effective across the spectrum of prevention, care and treatment.
