​​Work Study

Welcome to the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Work Study/Release Program.  This program offers full and part-time MDH employees the opportunity to further their educational and professional growth by attending college during their regular work hours with supervisory approval. 

The Work Study program enables eligible employees who are registered as University students to attend classes, with appropriate approval, during their regularly scheduled workday. This program provides employees with more flexibility to further their growth and advancement and to further their education to become a more productive and knowledgeable workforce.​ 

If you can answer YES to all of these questions, please proceed with the application process. 

• I am a full-time or part-time MDH employee.
  
• I have received a satisfactory review from my last Performance Evaluation within the last year.
  
• I have read and understood the MDH Work Study/Release Program Guidelines.  View guidelines here.​ 
  
• I have not started taking my program course(s) and will be submitting my application 30 days prior to the start of the course(s).​
