Program Overview
The primary focus of the Maryland Department of Health Leadership Development Program (MDHLDP) is to enhance supervisory effectiveness and capabilities throughout MDH. Various learning modalities and resources are used to provide practical skills to busy managers and leaders. Participation in the four-month program is expected to increase a leader’s effectiveness in moving a group of individuals toward accomplishment of a common goal. The experience is designed to cultivate 10 leadership competencies most valued by executive-level leadership at MDH.
