    Google Translate Disclaimer

    The Maryland Department of Information Technology (“DoIT”) offers translations of the content through Google Translate. Because Google Translate is an external website, DoIT does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content. All DoIT content is filtered through Google Translate which may result in unexpected and unpredictable degradation of portions of text, images and the general appearance on translated pages. Google Translate may maintain unique privacy and use policies. These policies are not controlled by DoIT and are not associated with DoIT’s privacy and use policies. After selecting a translation option, users will be notified that they are leaving DoIT’s website. Users should consult the original English content on DoIT’s website if there are any questions about the translated content.

    DoIT uses Google Translate to provide language translations of its content. Google Translate is a free, automated service that relies on data and technology to provide its translations. The Google Translate feature is provided for informational purposes only. Translations cannot be guaranteed as exact or without the inclusion of incorrect or inappropriate language. Google Translate is a third-party service and site users will be leaving DoIT to utilize translated content.     DoIT provides Google Translate as an online tool for its users, but DoIT does not directly endorse the website or imply that it is the only solution available to users. All site visitors may choose to use alternate tools for their translation needs. Any individuals or parties that use DoIT content in translated form, whether by Google Translate or by any other translation services, do so at their own risk. The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is establishing an internal Task Force on Regulatory Efficiency to conduct a cross-agency review of DHMH facility regulations to promote greater transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness. The purpose of the Task Force is to recommend adjustments to existing regulations that will make the Department’s oversight of facilities and programs more effective and efficient.

    Memo from Chairman Hurson on School-Based Health Centers Call for Proposals  

    The attached memorandum from Chairman John Hurson clarifies the Information Technology Requirement in the MD Community Health Resources Commission's School-Based Health Centers Call for Proposals. The memorandum explains a request for sliding fee scale and premium information for services provided in school-based health centers. Letters of Intent to file proposals are due to the Commission in hard copy by 5 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2008. Proposals including all attachments and appendices, are due to the Commission in hard and electronic copies by 5 PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.

    MD Community Health Resources Commission Dental Grant Awards  

    New Deadline to Submit Letters of Intent for School-Based Health Centers Call for Proposals 

    The Maryland Community Health Resources Commission has changed the deadline date for receipt of Letters of Intent for the Call for Proposals: Aligning Community Health Resources: Improving Access to Care for Marylanders Through School-Based Health Centers. The previous deadline was Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 5 PM EST. The new deadline for receipt of Letters of Intent for School Based Health Centers proposals is Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 5 PM EST.  

    The deadline for receipt of full proposals is still Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 5 PM EST.

    Strengthening School-Based Health Centers Study Final Report 

    Here is the final version of the Strengthening School-Based Health Centers in Maryland Study. The Commission wishes to acknowledge the hard work of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County's Center for Health Program Development and Management in conducting the study. The Commission also wishes to thank all those who responded to the surveys and questionnaires on which the study findings are based.

    Operational RFP, October 2007 

    The Maryland Community Health Resources Commission will release a 'Request for Proposals' for Operational Grants by close of business on Friday, October 19, 2007. The Request will include priority areas which the Commission selected at its October 3, 2007 meeting.  

    The priority areas will include: 

    • Services to individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse

    • Diversion of non-urgent care from hospital Emergency Departments

    • Services to immigrants with an emphasis on establishing a 'medical home' for these individuals.
